But if you are not sure you will get the full package sometimes down the road, CE is not an ideal path. It's clearly a marketing ploy to force you to buy their real package, the CE is just to get you into the ecosystem and that's why it's cheaper than others. You can use it till the day your pc died, but any new fixture definition will not get updated after 1 year. The media dongle will live for a long time but CE3 is a dead end. Anyway, even with L8 Ce3 plus media dongle, you still can't get over the 1 pc and 1 year update limitation on CE. L8 Ce with media dongle? compare it to Capture Symphony? I am not sure how these comparison works. but for the smaller club tour, a limited budget 60 seat black box theater or a quick and easy corporate setup, is there a "smaller gun" that works well, produces decent plots and is as easy to use as it is affordable?
